With all the squash that is about to come out of our garden I thought I would share one of my favorite recipes, fried squash! It is a southern staple!
Ingredients:
- Squash
- Chili Powder
- Black Pepper
- Salt
- Garlic Salt
- Paprika
- Flour
- Oil
- Heat 1/4″ oil in saute pan on medium-high heat
- Cut Squash into 1/2″ rounds.
- Sprinkle both sides with all spices
- Put flour into a bowl and toss spiced squash to coat
- Fry until golden brown on both sides
- Pull out & put onto plate covered in paper towels
- Sprinkle with salt
